Setting Things New

Lord you tell us through Isaiah to set things right.  Help us to ask for your forgiveness as we come to confess our sins during the Lenten Season, that things may be set right.

More of God's Forgiveness

The Lord tells us through the prophet Ezekiel that if we turn to him we shall live no matter what we’ve done in the past.  Lord help all of us turn to you in the sacrament of confession to receive your pardon and healing that we may live this life as you intend and live with you forever in the next.

We offering up our fast

Jesus assures the Pharisees that his disciples will fast.  Today I offer up this fast for the victims of the tragedy around the Pacific.

Choose Life

Moses tells us in Deuteronomy to choose life by obeying God’s commandments.  Jesus teaches us to choose life by taking up his cross and following him.  Lord help me today to choose life by obeying your ultimate command to take up your cross to follow you into everlasting life.

Good Friend

Today the Book of Sirach teaches us the value of having a good friend.  Lord, thank you for my friends, and help me to be a better friend to you through my actions and words today.

Our Hearts

Psalm 95 tells us not to harden our hearts to your voice Lord.  Soften our hearts with your Spirit that we may be encouraged today to remain faithful to our life with you.
